Satellite Phone for Remote Voice and Data
Bentek Systems is offering Globalstars GSP1600 for voice
or data communications throughout North America. Use the GSP1600
for very remote voice or data communications. An additional
Car Kit adapts the phone for Hands-free operation inside a car
and includes an external antenna, cable, mic, speakerphone and
cradle. It is required for normal vehicle operation of the phone.

Haul truck driver . Driver calls Dispatch

it. NOTE
that in this scenario, the Dispatcher cannot reliably

The Flexline 60 plan allows subscribers
to pay a minimal $15/mo fee to sleep the phone for the
part of the year it isn't in use. NOTE:
The phone must be used
a minimum of 6 consecutive months before the subscriber
has the option to sleep the phone.

Varying or erratic monthly usage
|
If your monthly usage is erratic,
it may be high one month and low the next. If it's
too high one month and you are on a monthly plan,
you will incur charges for additional minutes or
packets and pay a premium for them. In this case,
an annual plan is better. You have a large block
of minutes that can be used throughout the year.

for a minumum of 1 year term. Cancellation fee is $280 Cdn.
With the monthly plan, there is a fixed number of minutes per
month. Exceeding that will result in higher per minute / per
packet charges.
4. Annual plan minutes
do not accrue and must be consumed within the year. Minutes
left over from the previous plan do not rollover to the next
year.
