High Speed Satellite Internet
gives Remote Access for SCADA Maintenance & Configuration
An Oil and Gas Production
company required remote
access to a SCADA system at
a remote gas plant for maintenace and configuration purposes. Due to the remote location of the site, no terrestrial
communications means where available.
For this applications Bentek Systems
provided a high speed satellite internet system to give remote WAN access to the site.
The high speed satellite LAN link enabled remote configuration and maintenance of the SCADA Host using remote computing software.
In
addition, Bentek Systems provided a SCADALink IP
Gateway multiplexer to enable configuration
and viewing of field RTU's while the SCADA host was operating. With remote LAN access, field RTU's could be configured and downloaded in
Calgary. |
