The SCADALink 900MB or SMX900 RTU / radiomodem can be used to implement a cost effective Injection Well SCADA monitoring system. Bentek Systems provided the Injection Well SCADA system shown below:

With capabilities for analog inputs, digital inputs and pulse inputs, SCADALink 900-MB RTU / radio modem can be used to:

  • Measure flow rate
  • Measure annulus and casing pressure
  • Perform flow totalization

SCADALink 900-MB's were used to implement a cost effective, wireless SCADA system for Injection Well monitoring:

  • Water disposal well
  • Water/CO2 injection for enhanced recovery

In this application, the host polled the remote 900-MB I/O via Modbus RTU protocol. By using the 900-MB's integrated Modbus compatible I/O, no additional RTU or PLC equipment was required at the remote site.

Analog and digital inputs from the Injection Well transmitters were connected directly to the 900-MB's I/O interface and polled by the host. Additionally, the 900-MB's low power consumption allowed for a low cost remote solar power installation.

For the quickest solution, Bentek Systems integrates the SCADALink 900-MB into its SCADALink SOLAR: a complete, ready to install Water Injection RTU system which includes:

  • Solar Panel
  • Battery / Regulator
  • License-free radio communications / Modbus compatible RTU
  • Nema 4X Enclosure
  • Antenna, feed line and lightning arrestor
