A common application for license free telemetry is to transfer a single level
measurement from a reservoir or water tower back to a pump/lift station for the
purpose of pump control. This can be for a standalone control application in a
water system with no centralized SCADA monitoring system or it could be a
application where it is desired that pump control be independent of the SCADA
system. In one such application, a pair of
SCADALink Radios were used in end-to-end mode
to telemeter water level 1/2 mile away from a pumpstation where a a PLC starts
and stops pumps based on the reservoir level.
