Modem for Wireless Satellite SCADA and Remote Satellite Monitoring

The UNICON SAT is a Modem designed for Satellite SCADA applications and remote satellite monitoring. The Unicon SAT system enables transparent IP addressable communications from internet or intranet to very remote RTU, PLC, or flow computers.

Unlike many satellite communication devices, the UNICON SAT features two way transparent communications to enable full polling and remote programming capability to the field device. This capability allows implementation in open architecture systems and can be utilized with your choice of host and RTU devices.

The UNICON SAT is ideal for remote satellite monitoring applications throughout North America. It is very compact, low power and operates on the geosynchronous MSAT data network covering all of North America.  It provides an Always On link with response times not exceeding 4 seconds. It can be provisioned with a public IP to allow access via the internet or, alternatively the customer can place it on an intranet by installing SatServer gateway software.
