I recently presented a paper at ENTELEC 2018 on SCADA & IoT – The Similarities and Differences.  Having being involved in all aspects of SCADA Systems Integration and SCADA, RTU, Data Communications, & Industrial Wireless Product Development for over 30 years, I thought I would reflect on this subject.

IoT technologies began in the consumer product space however is now rapidly gaining traction in the Industrial arena.  With this has been much marketing hype.  IoT and related technologies are not new but is part of the ongoing technology evolution.

On Monday, our staff cooked up a delicious Stampede breakfast with hash browns, sausages, bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs and the SCADALink Boys played some tunes.
