BakerCorp  rents containment tanks to customers for liquid storage. This includes oil, lubricant, and water. Supply tanks need to be monitored and replenished prior to  low level situation which can be a source of operational outages and maintenance problems. High level conditions need to be monitored to prevent spillage conditions. Since many of these tanks are for  remote operations there is a need for remote tank monitoring system,  BakerCorp can provide as rental to the customers.

Bentek Systems proposes the use of Satellite Based Remote Monitoring Solution, SCADALink SAT100 or SAT120 Hubs with Wireless Level Transmitter to provide monitoring solution.


  • Transformer Oil Monitoring (1 to 2 tanks at site)
  • Pipeline Lubricant Supply Tank
  • Frac Water Supply Tank (up to 40 tanks at a location)

Proposed System

The proposed monitoring system would be comprised of SCADALink SAT1xxx Hub (Dual Mode & Cellular Modem RTU) and Wireless Sensor Nodes.

The use of wireless sensor Nodes allows installation at appropriate sensing location; and number of nodes as required. At each remote site, there would be a single Wireless Hub that can connect to  nodes up to 1 mile line of site.

Use of SAT1xxx dual satellite/cellular operation ensure coverage in the most remote locations.

The system as proposed utilizes the a Solar powered SAT100 (Satellite only) or SAT120 (Sat/Cellular) hub with Wireless Sensor Gateway.

Wireless Tank Level Sensor Nodes

Tank Level sensors are connected via a Wireless Sensor Node as shown. Guided Wave Radar Sensors have been proposed as the most flexible sensor offering. Wireless Sensors enable easy placement of sensor and panel locations. Wireless Sensor Nodes can be battery or battery/solar powered as shown.

A Portable Flow Meter Skids

Portable Rental Flow Meters Skids are proposed for in Water Treatment Rental and Service Solutions as shown. Each Flow Meter is a Battery Powered Electromagnetic Flow Meter as shown. Each skid is shelf contained including flow meter, meter skid, and piping including camlock fittings.

The preceding drawing shows example of a portable meter skid for 6″ Flowmeter.
The meter skid includes the Seametrix IMAG Mag Flowmeter, complete with meter skid cage, transition piping and camlock type quick connectors. The Flow Meter Skid is battery powered with local display and is complete ready to operate.

B Wireless Sensor Nodes with SAT130 Wireless Sensor Gateway & Hub

A Wireless Sensor Gateway Hub is used with one or more Wireless Flow Transmitter Nodes. Each Wireless Flow Transmitter Nodes are connected to the flowmeters.

The Wireless Sensor Gateway Hub allows the monitoring of the Gateway Hub locally (WiFi) and remotely (satellite and cellular) via web browser on laptop, tablet or smartphone. Addition  Wirelesss Sensor modes can be deployed data to collect level, temperate, pressure, and flow by deploying the appropriate wireless sensor nodes.

The proposed system utilizes a SAT130 (Sat/Cellular) hub with Wireless Sensor Gateway.   The use of the dual mode Satellite/Cellular SAT130 ensure coverages in the most remote locations. Wireless Sensor Nodes enable flexibility allow addition of Wireless Sensor Nodes as required without hardwiring or cables.
