Remote Monitoring Access using the SAT120 Wireless Gateway Hub and Wireless Flow Sensor Nodes

A Wireless Sensor Gateway Hub is used with one or more Wireless Flow Transmitter Nodes. Each Wireless Flow Transmitter Nodes are connected to the flowmeters.

The Wireless Sensor Gateway Hub allows the monitoring of the Gateway Hub locally (WiFi) and remotely (satellite and cellular) via web browser on laptop, tablet or smartphone. Addition  Wirelesss Sensor modes can be deployed data to collect level, temperate, pressure, and flow by deploying the appropriate wireless sensor nodes.

The proposed system utilizes a SAT130 (Sat/Cellular) hub with Wireless Sensor Gateway.   The use of the dual mode Satellite/Cellular SAT130 ensure coverages in the most remote locations. Wireless Sensor Nodes enable flexibility allow addition of Wireless Sensor Nodes as required without hardwiring or cables.

The preceding drawings shows example of a portable meter skid for a 6″ Flowmeter with SAT130 Wirelesss Hub and Wireless Sensor Nodes; or with Wireless Sensor Node attached. A single Wireless Hub can support numerous Wireless Sensor Nodes up to 1 mile line of site.

Liquid/Storage Tank Monitoring

Tank Monitoring for liquid storage, includes oil, lubricant, and water. Supply tanks need to be monitored and replenished prior to  low level situation which can be a source of operational outages and maintenance problems. High level conditions need to be monitored to prevent spillage conditions. Since many of these tanks are for  remote operations there is a need for remote tank monitoring system.

Bentek Systems provides the use of Satellite Based Remote Monitoring Solution, SCADALink SAT100 or SAT120 Hubs with Wireless Level Transmitter to provide monitoring solution.


  • Transformer Oil Monitoring (1 to 2 tanks at site)
  • Pipeline Lubricant Supply Tank
  • Frac Water Supply Tank (up to 40 tanks at a location)

Proposed System

The proposed monitoring system would be comprised of SCADALink SAT1xxx Hub (Dual Mode & Cellular Modem RTU) and Wireless Sensor Nodes.

The use of wireless sensor Nodes allows installation at appropriate sensing location; and number of nodes as required. At each remote site, there would be a single Wireless Hub that can connect to  nodes up to 1 mile line of site.

Wireless Sensor Gateway and Hub

Use of SAT1xxx dual satellite/cellular operation ensure coverage in the most remote locations.

The system as proposed utilizes the a Solar powered SAT100 (Satellite only) or SAT120 (Sat/Cellular) hub with Wireless Sensor Gateway.

Wireless Tank Level Sensor Nodes

Tank Level sensors are connected via a Wireless Sensor Node as shown. Guided Wave Radar Sensors have been proposed as the most flexible sensor offering. Wireless Sensors enable easy placement of sensor and panel locations. Wireless Sensor Nodes can be battery or battery/solar powered as shown.





PumpMaster system provides has Pumping System SCADA node as well as Cloud Based Enterprise SCADA Node.

System SCADA Node

The System SCADA Node hosted on a local on site server, provides a pumping system dashboard that allows secure web based access to all sites from laptops, tablets, and smartphones. This allow remote pump operators and supervisors monitoring and control access of any pump, header, tank, and flow measurements in a single dashboard.

The PumpMaster SCADA Nodes provides a easy to use remote pump system monitoring dashboard, easily configured by configuring a table of equipment assets used in the project including Pump Skid, Header/Tank Nodes, Flow Meter, and Level Sensor Nodes.

Enterprise SCADA Node (Cloud)

PumpMaster allows data sync to PumpMaster Cloud SCADA node to allow archival of all pumping system projects in a central repository.

SatSCADA Web Based Interface

The SatSCADA Web Client application provides cost effective, easy to use monitoring to clients for standard monitoring industrial applications.

The SatSCADA Web Client provides user access via a Web Browser on Desktops, Laptops or Smartphones.

The Web Client provides Site View, Tag View, Trend and Map Views, and is auto-configured based on the SAT1xx Terminal Configurations.

Local RTU Web Interface Example

The RTU has a Web Interface Accessible Locally or Remotely.  Local Interface is via WiFi or USB; Remote Interface is via Internet Connnectivity.
