MDS 4710: Class I Div 2 Certified Licensed Frequency Radio
The MDS 4710 is a price/performance leader for licensed radios. It provides an increase throughput and longer range for multiple address systems. Transparent and direct asynchronous communication offers real-time communication. No extra software or programming is needed to implement communications using standard asynchronous protocols. MDS 4710 Replacement with MDS SD4
The GE MDS SD4 has a 4710 compatibility mode to allow it to replace 4710A and 4710B radios in existing 4710X based networks.Note that the RF connector and power connectors on the SD4 are different than that of the 4710 series. A 4710 compatibility kit is necessary to use the SD4 for a direct 4710 replacement.The 4710 compatibility mode of the SD4 helps allow migration and transition from 4710 networks to SD4 networks. For multiple new site installs, transition to GE MDS SD4 are recommended to allow future connectivity to Ethernet based devices and networks.New and refurbished MDS 4710 are available in limited quantities for customers has large existing 4710 networks, and want to have 4710 plug-in replacement for failed 4710 nodes.
