SatSCADA Network Access Options

Access to SatSCADA SAT1xx RTU Terminals  require secure network access via 1 of 3 methods:

  1. via SatSCADA Proxy on Client LAN
  2. Serial RS232 Access over RS232 Serial Cellular Link
  3. Serial RS232 Access via IP100

Option A is suitable for SCADA networks where firewalled internet access is already utilized.

Options B and C can be utilized where security considerations prevent IP connectivity of the Plant DCS or SCADA host to external IP networks. Option B only allows serial connectivity from a DCS or SCADA host to external devices or network. The is not ethernet connection from external network.

B. SatSCADA Network Access via Serial RS232 Cellular Link

The serial modem is provided with static public IP and configured for secure access to the SatSCADA Server.  Security if via a whitelisted IP address and port by the SatSCADA server.
