I/O Expansion for SAT1xx Terminals

The SAT1xx terminals have up to 4 Integrated I/O – DI/ DO, AI.  For applications with low number of I/O points the integrated I/O can suffice.  Frequently need to add additional I/O to a SAT1xx System. The can be achieved by using the SCADALink RIO100 & RIO900 Series of Remote I/O. Alternatively third party PLC,RTU, EFM, and Remote I/O Systems can be interfaced to the SAT1xx Terminals via RS232, RS485, and Ethernet via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP Protocols.

I/O Expansion with RIO100 & RIO900

The SCADALink RIO100 and RIO900 Remote I/O can be ideal I/O expansion for SAT1xx Systems since the RIO Series has RS232 and RS485 Interfaces.  The RIO can support up to 8 modules or up to a total of  64 I/O points can be added.  Using the RIO900, addition RTU can be connected with up to 64 I/O Points each. Typically applications would use only 4 additional AI, 8-16 Additional DI, and 1 Digital Ouputs.

Benefits of the RIO for I/O Expansion is that the RIO operates features Low Power Mode which allows Loop Power to be shutdown when the device is not polled.

I/O Expansion with Third part PLC, RTU, EFM

Third party PLC,RTU, EFM, and Remote I/O Systems can be interfaced to the SAT1xx Terminals via RS232, RS485, and Ethernet via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP Protocols to add I/O.
